"An iconic label and iconic wine that's been a feature of the Barossa Valley for the better part of 45 years. Dry-grown bushvine grenache is the dominant variety, co-fermented with old vine shiraz and a small percentage of mataro. It is matured for 2 years in French barriques, and although the colour isn't deep, it has retained purple notes, and also great depth to the mouthfeel and sumptuous multifaceted red and purple flavours." Arguably Australia’s premier Rhone-style red, Nine Popes started out as a tribute to the Chateauneufs that Charlie enjoyed and has gone on to surpass many of them. A Grenache-based wine with some Shiraz and Mourvedre, it has wonderful flavours of blackberries and plums, good acidity, fine tannins and a silky finish. Drink now- 2035

Dennis Moore A classic wine from Charles Melton that certainly lives up to its reputation. It is full, fruity and balanced and will sustain time in the bottle. Unfortunately, I have only got six bottles
