"95 points. Deeply coloured crimson-purple, it is redolent of McLaren Vale with layers of black fruits, choc-mint and ripe tannins, the oak important for texture, not flavour. All up, a thoroughly impressive wine at this price." James Halliday
The Lioness of McLaren Vale is produced from a single vineyard in the foothills of McLaren Vale.
The nose has impressive purity of fruit showing lush scents of summer pudding with lifted re fruits, berries and a hint of cinanamon. The palate is generous and mouthfilling with sweet blackberry, raspberry and plum flavours with uindercurrents of mulberries and chocolate.
