"This is how the great Barossa Shirazes used to taste" Oz Clarke

A great wine from a great vintage: the colour is dark brick red with purple hues. The aromas are of spicy dark berry fruits with just a hint of toasty vanillan oak. The full-flavoured palate is awash with flavours of plums and black fruits, enhanced by silky fine grain tannins; the finish is rich and smooth. It is drinking beautifully now and will cellar well for a decade.

Eldredge Blue Chip 2018

In the price bracket that this wine retails at, then it's one of the all time classics. Clearly needs a few years to open out properly, which means I will just need to buy annually. It's the only solution this wine deserves. I already know it ages well, so I will just need to make the space. Delivery was as it said on the tin - very good.

I am always reluctant to recommend a particular wine. I may like it, but someone else might not. However I am happy to, and often do, recommend the Australian Wine Centre . Excellent service, and if anything does go wrong, there is prompt and generous recompense .

Dont regret taking the recommendation from Craig for this wine. A good shiraz and seems like something I could keep, if it wasnt burning a hole in the cupboard

Another good year from this consistently solid Shiraz. Thanks for the recommendation years ago Craig!!

Our Favourite SA Shiraz

The Australian Wine Centre has plenty to choose from and having had this luscious wine in a Super Reds box, we simply had to buy more. It’s not inexpensive but when the 10% off discount was available, it just made sense to buy some. Dark ruby red, really punchy on fruit but with huge depth, low tannins and a lovely (I believe chefs use this for food) mouthfeel. It has rapidly become a favourite in this house.
