"Turbo-charged Aussie reds love barbecues, so tuck into this bargain beef, cedar and leather-scented 14.5 per cent hulk." Jane MacQuitty (The Times)
The Fergus is a legend - first produced in 1993 from neighbour Fergus Mahon's Grenache vineyard. The 2014 Fergus continues the lineage, predominately Grenache, with support roles by tempranillo, and malbec, all combining to form a spicy, juicy wine with lifted red berry aromas and flavours, grenache spiciness and given extra back palate firmness provided by the blending of the other varieties. It's medium weighted and superbly crafted to be a fantastic food partner, especially duck, lamb and gamey meats. Fergus will cellar patiently through to 2026.
Sampled this wine in Australia some years ago and since had tried a number of it’s vintages all of which have proved to be consistently excellent.
A nice wine and great communication with the order. Will definitely be using again.
A very nice win but I preferred it when it was 100% granache.
Lovely wine, delicious.
Fabulous service, ordered one morning, arrived the next day. Thank you Jackie for keeping me informed all the way. The Fergus is an old favourite and I'm thrilled to have found it again. The 2015 vintage is as good as any I can remember. I will be ordering some more very soon!
