Halliday 2022 remarks on what a great value wine this is for the price, and I can only concur. Drinking beautifully now and for the next few years.
Super selection as always, even though they might not be to your specific taste. I use this selection for my more everyday drinking, and the Super12 for that something extra.
Rich, full bodied, smooth and mellow - have always liked Tim Adams Shiraz and now being able to buy direct rather than Tesco feels much better. Delivery was fast and efficient.
A really excellent sweet wine and one of the finest I’ve had recently. I didn’t serve it quite cold enough but fortunately I still have another bottle. Tastes of the grape but not at all cloying as some sweet wines are. It has a freshness about it and is great by itself or with soft cheeses.
Usual very reliable service from the Australian Wine Centre. Not opened a bottle yet but have never been disappointed with Bishop before. Can’t go wrong with a Glaetzer!
Provided this for a party of 60 last November , and had positive feedback ( including from an Australian!). Think this is the third time I have ordered it - so clearly I think it is good. Service from Craig and the team is always good.
This red is a fine example of what Western Australia can produce to compete with better known wineries to the east. A fulfilling combination of Cabernet and Merlot to produce a smooth drinking wine with no hint of harshness. A wine to return to - frequently.
I think this is a rather good Shiraz; certainly for the price. Maybe I’m biased because a wine named after someone significant in Australian wine always makes me sympathetic. However, leaving aside any bias based on emotion, this is a really good wine. Very much a Shiraz, with a definite connection with the grape, but, unlike some, smooth with a distinct berry taste. Fortunately, I have some bottles still to drink so I’ll see how it is in a few months. But buy now, is my tip.
Tim Adams Clare Valley Riesling is my favourite white wine this year and I never get tired of drinking it. I’ve also given away rather too many bottles to family and friends because it’s so popular. So although I love it, I thought I’d give Mr Mick a try. I rate this wine as well. Perhaps a little less depth than the Tim Adams but a very nice Riesling even so. Very suited to what will, hopefully, be a hot summer. If the Tim Adams is a a 10, Mr Mick is a 9.5.
I did discovered Tim Adams Semillon when I visited the winery in the Clare Valley eight years ago and I bought a ten year old bottle. I buy them frequently now and wait until they are ten years old.
Haven't tried Memsie for a long time
Pleasantly surprised. Easy drinking
Water Wheel never fails. Buying and drinking it for over 20 years.
Always worth waiting for!!
Delivered next morning at no extra charge, well packaged, great service, will use again, highly recommended, the Aberfeldy was excellent as always, never had a vintage of this wine that was less than stellar.
Not really a white wine drinker so tend to go for the more bland variety. Had this in Oz last month. Has bags of pear, peach and tropical flavour but not sweet. Great with curries.....in fact with most food.
Been buying this for years and recently in Australia. Everything that's good in a Coonawarra Cab Sav at an affordable price. Full bodied too.
I like the interesting variety of wines that come in the Super 12 selection, giving us a look at new wineries as well as some old favourites. This quarter had one of our favourites, Willows from the Barossa, where we like the shiraz even more than the Cabernet Sauvignon. The Super 12 gives us a chance to choose the wines we like the most, so we can order some extra bottles. We appreciate that delivery is always reliable and the AWC office is always friendly and helpful to deal with.
I took a punt on this wine and found it rather better than I suppose I expected. Great with red meat I think but actually works with other lighter dishes. Wry much tastes on the grape. I’d buy again. Great delivery as always.
A fantastic wine full of flavour and smooth after finish which we loved
Also prompt freindly delivery
Despite the steady price inflation (£10 to £12.50 over the past 2 years), this wine remains excellent value. If you can resist the temptation to drink it immediately it is smoother and less tannic after a couple of years of cellaring.
