Exceptional old vine fruit was sourced from the famed Ebenezer sub district at the northern tip of the Barossa Valley. Vine age 35—120 years old. Yield 3 tonnes per hectare.
Colour: Dark purple, almost impenetrable.
Aroma: Black fruits abound. Dark plums and blackberry notes intermingle with anise and fresh spice. Palate: Bright and juicy with a wonderfully rich mid-palate that maintains balance and finishes with texture. Flavours of dried spice and dark berry fruits add freshness and dimension.
Great drinking now but this wine will also benefit from 10—12 years cellaring
Usual very reliable service from the Australian Wine Centre. Not opened a bottle yet but have never been disappointed with Bishop before. Can’t go wrong with a Glaetzer!
