An elegant Pinot Grigio from the cool McLaren Vale sub region of Clarendon. Named after winemaker Joe Grilli's daughter Elena, the wine has a deliciously savoury mineral notes. It has fresh citrus fruit acidity and light pear fruit. This wine's natural acidic balance and savoury mineral length make it the perfect food wine.
This is light years away from the bland Pinot Grigios to be found on supermarket shelves. It stands shoulder to shoulder with the best Italian whites.
Classic Pinot Grigio, slightly smokey with good fruit weight and balanced acidity, being New World it seems to be giving much more than Pinot Grigio from the Northern Hemisphere. Definitely worth the price.
Disappointing given how good Joseph Red are. Overpriced
