One bottle each of:
2014 Tim Adams Schaefer Shiraz (Clare Valley)
Tim’s single vineyard release from a 50 year old vineyard. The dry grown grapes yield between one and two tonnes per acre, producing fruit with elegance and rich fruit flavours.
2018 Eldredge Blue Chip Shiraz (Clare Valley)
The full-flavoured palate is awash with flavours of plums and black fruits, enhanced by silky fine grain tannins; the finish is rich and smooth.
2018 Primo Estate Shale Stone Shiraz (McLaren Vale)
This wine marries the classic richness of the McMurtrie Rd vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale with the perfume and mineral texture of the Shiraz growing in the shale stone of the higher altitude Clarendon vineyard
2017 Heritage Shiraz (Barossa Valley)
This rich, flavoursome Shiraz was produced using Shiraz grown at Marananga and Greenock on the Western edges of the Barossa Valley, both areas renowned for producing quality Shiraz grapes.
2016 Willows Vineyard Shiraz (Barossa Valley)
Produced from a single vineyard situated at Light Pass, on the eastern edge of the Barossa. It has berry and cinnamon spice flavours, along with oak-derived mocha overtones and harmonious, soft yet defined tannins.
2018 Bowen Estate Shiraz (Coonawarra)
From an outstanding vintage, the flavours are rich and complex, with layers of blackberry and plums. The wine has extra depth and structure on the palate, soft tannins and a long, rich finish. Drinking beautifully now, it will cellar well for another decade.
We have had several of the 6 before, but a long time ago, and all were just as good, if not better, than the earlier ones. A good mixed choice. Service and delivery were spot on as usual. Always a pleasure to do business with Craig.
