The 2021 was a very good vintage in McLaren Vale. Good winter rains and a cool summer ensured even ripening. Shiraz was the stand-out variety.

Always dark fruited, and with regional chocolate earth character, the 2021 Chapel Hill MV displays an even greater depth and complexity than usual, showing flavours of dark toasted spice and black olives to accompany the usual peppered deep black fruit.

On the palate, this Shiraz unfolds with grace and intensity. Rich layers of dark fruit, including blackcurrant and black cherry, mingle seamlessly with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and savoury spices. The wine's silky texture is framed by fine-grained tannins, imparting both structure and finesse.
