A special patch of vines, the Applejack vineyard was planted in 1997 on a dramatic slope and is close planted and fastidiously managed. In the hands of Mel Chester at Giant Steps, it's been taken to extraordinary lengths in 2023. 

Exotic, aromatic and pure with its bouquet of wild strawberries, dark cherries, quince, spices and flowers. Vibrant, fresh on the palate; smoked berries and earth grapple swarm out of the glass, The earthen flavours combined with silky, ripe tannins, intense flavour and texture on the palate bringing them into an abyss of flavour and tension, you barely notice the tannins due to the core of pure raspberry and cherry fruit. It all ends with a luscious finish.
