Subtle hints of oak, rarely noted these days, however it is not overpowering. The Chardonnay fruit is rich and slightly buttery with good balanced acidity and oak. I will buy more to keep for a few years.
Giant Steps Chardonnay, expecting 2018 received 2020 instead.Wine very nice but I will be keeping the remainder of the case on my rack, to improve.Tim Adams Clare Valley Shiraz, expecting 2016 received 2018 instead, again will keep remainder to improve.
Giant Steps Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2018 13.5% 6x75cl
This is drinking beautifully, even now in its youth. No excess oak - fresh fruit with a little subtlety (custard?). A wine from a producer at the top of their game. We will certainly buy this again.
