2021 Glaetzer Wallace is a detailed and expressive Barossa blend, combining deep, brooding black fruits and spice with floral lift and red-fruited freshness. It’s generous, juicy, and almost too delicious to share—an excellent example of modern Barossa winemaking

It is medium to deep garnet in colour, with a youthful purple rim, reflecting vibrancy and concentration. The nose is enticing and layered, offering dark plum, raspberry, and lavender, with hints of anise, black pepper, and subtle floral notes. 

The palate is medium- to full-bodied, showing a harmonious blend of black fruits—blackcurrant, blackberry, and mulberry—alongside fresh red berry fruit, raspberry, and plum. There’s a juicy, vibrant quality from the Grenache, complemented by the Shiraz’s depth and structure. Flavours of licorice, redcurrant, and a hint of dark chocolate appear, with a backbone of savoury, rounded tannins.

The finish is fresh, long, and balanced by lively acidity and a subtle savoury edge, with silky tannins and a fine, sandy texture.
