The 2022 Grosset Gaia (only 250 dozen produced) is a benchmark Clare Valley Cabernet blend (85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc), offering brooding complexity, vibrant dark fruits, graphite, and a mineral-driven, finely structured palate. It is both powerful and elegant, destined to age gracefully for decades.

In the glass it is a deep, vibrant crimson with youthful purple hues. The bouquet is brooding and complex, opening with vibrant bramble, blackcurrant, and dark liqueur cherry. There are lifted notes of graphite, black tea, and dark chocolate, with hints of cassis, blackberry, and briar. Subtle undertones of mint, fennel, woody spice, and black olive add further aromatic depth

The palate is powerful, concentrated, and impeccably balanced. Layers of dense dark fruit—blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum—are supported by vibrant acidity and mineral-laden, ultra-fine tannins, providing both immediate accessibility and the promise of long-term cellaring. 

Produced from a tiny crop – barely half a kilogram per vine – this is a wine of intensity, power and great poise.
