Andrew Hardy, the 5th generation of the famous Hardy family, has 36 years experience of winemaking at wineries such as Petaluma and Knappstein. In recent years, the Hardy's name has been tarnished by a succession of industry takeovers become and synonymous with lower price commercial blends. 

Andrew has resurrected the Tintara Vineyard, first planted in 1845 and purchased by his great-great grandfather, Thomas Hardy, in 1871. He sees himself and his family as the custodians of this picturesque 138 hectare property for future generations and makes wines that are a true reflection of the vineyard and its rich history.

This Shiraz is black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Alluring blackberry and liquorice aromas are trailed by some dark plum, hints of blueberry, vanillin cedar and traces of peppered earth. 

Succulent ripe blackberry and liquorice fruits flow effortlessly across the medium to full bodied palate with notions of dark plum, vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth lying underneath. Velvet smooth tannins finishing long, plush and polished.
