"This delivers a bigger-boned red in a well-balanced way. Lots to get stuck into. The perfume is scented like black cherry, chocolate truffles, hazelnut, mint and stewed plum. Flavours lean into forest berries, plum, mocha and some faint malty characters, with firm, dusty tannins lending chew. All up, a pleasing, bold red of a winter-warmer ilk." Deep red colour with a healthy tinge of purple. The bouquet is fresh and clean, with smoky mulberry aromas, red and black berries, gum leaf, vanilla and violets. Leathery, leafy characters, a subtle trace of mint too - fruit to the fore with good supporting oak.
It's an elegant, full-bodied cabernet with good concentration, backbone and a touch of class. The tannins are quite firm and drying toward the finish and it all lingers well. It will age happily for many years.

A really nice blend, soft tannins and a smooth mouth feel. Despite the relatively high ABV it's big on fruit and the intensely deep colour makes it a velvet delight.
I never feel able to write the sort of rvview which typifies wine reviews I can only say that I am glad I bought it because I enjoy what I am drinking and the value for money is excellent as was all the admin involved - ordering, correspondance and delivery etc
A first class wine and great value-highly recommended!
