"95 points. Fluid, characterful and soft but with the inherent structure to last. Red and black berries, gum leaf, vanilla and violets. Leathery, leafy characters too. As soon as you open it you know you're onto something good. Terrific value." James Halliday's Australian Wine Guide
Deep red colour with a healthy tinge of purple. The bouquet is fresh and clean, with smoky mulberry aromas, red and black berries, gum leaf, vanilla and violets. Leathery, leafy characters, a subtle trace of mint too - fruit to the fore with good supporting oak.
It's an elegant, full-bodied cabernet with good concentration, backbone and a touch of class. The tannins are quite firm and drying toward the finish and it all lingers well. It will age happily for many years.
