This is a great-value Shiraz which displays plenty of Clare Valley freshness alongside the ripe fruit and long, rich finish. At this price you can't go wrong!
The wine has a rich deep crimson hue with aromas and flavours of blackberry, mulberry and dark cherry. The front and mid-palate is full and soft, with flavours of small berry fruit and spice complemented by the oak. The wine finishes with integrated oak and firm, silky tannins and a finish of great length.
This graceful Clare Shiraz has power and finesse which makes it both approachable now and worthy of keeping for up to 10 years.

The other day I found a 2017 bottle in my cellar that I'd laid down when a well-known supermarket still stocked this excellent wine (there's a 2019 too that I'm leaving for a bit longer).. I was so impressed that I finally got around to enquiring where I can buy Tim Adams wines nowadays and ordered half a case straight away. Ordering online was very easy and delivery incredibly fast. The plan is to cellar this for a while, but I had to drink a bottle to check it first (what a difficult chore!), and can report that the 2021 is good now and promises to develop well. Will any of it be left five or ten years hence? I may have to purchase more!
I can’t fault the quality of the Clare Valley Shiraz 2021 or indeed the delivery service. This is now my go-to wine, and I’m happy to try more wines from the Tim Adams range. A genuine 5 Star product and service, rarely achieved by other suppliers.

For some years, Tim Adams wines, such as The Fergus (I still have some 2010), have been enjoyed regularly in my home and I do not foresee any change. It has always been a pleasure to deal with the business, too. I strongly recommend others to follow suit.
