" a unique blend of Grenache, Tempranillo and Malbec grapes has resulted in an astounding red that's full-bodied yet silky and alluring." Matthew Jukes (Daily Mail)

"Turbo-charged Aussie reds love barbecues, so tuck into this bargain beef, cedar and leather-scented 14.5 per cent hulk." Jane MacQuitty (The Times)

The Fergus is a legend - first produced in 1993 from neighbour Fergus Mahon's Grenache vineyard. The 2019 Fergus continues the lineage, predominately Grenache, with support roles by tempranillo, and malbec.

An alluring nose of red fruits, florals and perfumes. Blueberries, raspberries, chocolate and cherries. Lovely and plush, ripe and generous. Very soft tannins with a finish that lingers for a surprisingly long time. Utterly delicious now and over the next 4 to 5 years. A wine offering pure drinking pleaure.

It's medium weighted and superbly crafted to be a fantastic food partner, especially duck, lamb and gamey meats. Fergus will cellar patiently through to 2029 and beyond.

A very reliable wine

I’ve been buying The Fergus every year for at least the last 10 yrs, it never disappoints. The current vintage is exceptional especially given the price. Find me a French wine with 6 years under its belt and with this depth of flavour at this price - you can’t! Can’t wait to get some more.

Wine as good as ever. I don't like having to buy 12 bottles. I wish I could get it in Tesco still. I would buy much more.

Waiting

Purchased the 2018 Tim Adams Ferguson but won’t be drinking it for a while yet. Just finished enjoying the 2014 and have made a start on the 2016. All superb at what I consider a reasonable price. If you like good quality Australian wine, the Australian Wine Centre is the place to go.
