"93 points. Opaque core into a deep ruby and purple rim. Blueberry conserve, sage and wood polish aromas. Big and dark fruits fill the mouth with complexing layers of olive tapenade. All that intensity is then compressed by ripe and gravelly tannins, which carry the palate long and with presence. Great value here." Stuart Knox
From the outstanding 2017 vintage, this Barossa shiraz is made using grapes from both cooler elevated hillsides and warmer, deep and ancient valley floor soils. A delicious, robust but balanced shiraz showcasing the blueberry and plum notes of the Barossa, with just a hint of chocolate coming from 12 months ageing in large oak hogsheads. The finish is rich and full-flavoured.
But wow. I was recommended a previous wine, but wanted to expand my knowledge of Australian wines. This wine exceeded my expectations. Very full bodied and delicious
